Mega Performance Kayaks presents ...
THE JESTER Bullitt and Bullitt "S"

"NEW IC BOAT" -"NEW HP BOAT"

"NEW IC BOAT"
Bullitt

The launch of any new boat is always a big event for us but a new International Class boat is a bit special as its very much back to our roots.
Its how Mega came into being with the 1st Jester back in 1991.
Since that time “Jesters” have figured in the vast majority of medal placings at all World Championship events.

It is over 6 years since the last Jester, the “Jester Trident” was launched during which time it has gained a great following with Darren Bason taking the World title in Costa Rica in 2005. This new model has a lot to live up to but we think that the new IC boat, which has had input from the worlds top paddlers, will continue the “Jester” success.

Features that we have introduced in the HP models, adjustable seats, thigh braces etc. are incorporated in the new model allowing paddlers to set the boat up to the correct trim and comfort as well performance has been a primary aim. We think both recreational paddlers as well as the top International stars will revel in the performance.

Ok, you've had the pics, and now for the hype!

Location, Porth Towan, and Fistral
Paddlers ,Darren Bason, James Hawker, Chris Hobson.
conditions, 1-4' from messy to clean
Ok, So the 1st thing you say is that they are all members of "The Flying Squad" so their comments are bound to be good. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Well, in fact, aside from being the Worlds top paddlers they are also very good at assesing a boats characteristics and potential , and if something is not right they will say so, afterall these guys want to Win, so they are not going to settle for 2nd best when it comes to their kit. Honest feedback is a definate requirement for "Flying Squad" members.

1st to try it out was Chris, Friday at Fistral in nothing much more than 1ft, but his immediate impression, Faster than he Trident, more manoeverable, more comfortable, easier to do those big tail slashes,
Darren next in same conditions, very simple ,"When do I get mine?"

Sat AM, James hops into it, "Think you got it right, Like the seating posn, more like what i'm used to, Sunday AM, "Can I get one!"

Chris Hobson probably had more boat time in it than anyone over the weekend, which is why most of the shots are of him, Mondays comment "Can Dad change his order from Trident to New Boat?"

NOW FOR THE BULLITT "S"
The perfect poor conditions boat, to big, to small, long paddle out, messy etc..

There are going to be certain condtions where it is likely to excell. It was very clear at Mundaka recently that in small surf the longer boats were both ,catching waves easier and looking more dynamic, other situations I can see would be big beach break days, places with a long paddle out, Mundaka, Santa Cruz for example. Before IC boats were stopped from entering HP how many times were paddlers using IC boats on the HP rostram? We've already seen that the Bullitt lends itself to a far more HP style of paddling and with the addition of fins I reckon this little baby will have a good following.

8' 11 1/2" long, same width as bullitt

JESTER CYCLONE

The Jester Cyclone is the next in the new generation of International Class 3mtr surf kayaks. An awesome performer in all surf conditions the Cyclone with its well proven hull shape will appeal to
both the competitive and recreational paddler alike. Paddler comfort has been a prime consideration in the Cyclone's design. The cockpit design with its raised thigh braces and padded foam seat give superb comfort and control making extended paddling sessions a real pleasure.

Designed to meet the challenge of Santa Cruz 2001 the Cyclone can easily handle a wide variety of conditions that this superb location can produce. Hard rails running from just 1/2 mtr from the bow allows for rapid water release whilst significant bow rocker prevents the risk of pearling on the steepest faces.

JESTER success's in World competitions are now legendary ,having won virtually every medal in International class's since 1991 The Cyclone is sure to continue that record.

JESTER TRIDENT

A collaborative project with World and British Champion "Ben Thomas", the Trident is going to appeal to those that are looking for a kayak that's smaller in stature but Big on Performance!

Developed from the now legendary Jester Titan significant changes have been made, not least of which is the reduction in length down to 3.02mtrs. Increased rocker in the bow and softening of the rail at the front allows for the steepest of take-offs with no fear of burying the nose. Creature comfort is improved by utilizing the cockpit arrangement taken from the Airforce and Cyclone.

Subtle changes in hull profile has ensured that "Down the Line" speed has not been compromised with the shorter length, whilst maneuverability is even better!

JESTER BIERITZ

For the paddler looking for something differentMega introduce the Jester Bieritz. Based upon the ever popular Jester Storm the Bieritzwill appeal to the paddler who prefers to sit on rather than in their kayak.
At 3.52 mtrs long and 60 cms wide theBieritz is both fast and manoeuvrable. Fitted as standard with both thigh straps and a lap belt, rolling the Bieritz is as easy as any other kayak.

Due to its length if you have to paddle some distance to get to your favourite surf spot of just want to paddle the local river or lake theBieritz handles this with ease. The added security of being able to just climb on and off the Bieritzmakes it ideally suited for centres and schools wishing to introduce paddlers to surfing.
As with all Mega kayaks a wide range of colours and construction options are available.
