We started this as an experiment just to see how light we can go ... So here it is a 12kg Outlander 14 with 2 seats.
A production version of this spec will now be available . The hull is carbon with a Dyneema core the gunnels are carbon Kevlar.
The build process involves 5 different vacuum bag sessions so it's not a cheap or easy thing to build ... but you can lift it with one hand , load it onto a car or van with ease .... It's a delight!
Developed from the successful designs of the Prospector working canoe and the Peterborough recreational canoe and blending the best features of both the Outlander is both a highly manoeuvrable and efficient boat.
Smaller of the range is the Outlander 14'. With good speed and manoeuvrability the 14' is primarily intended for the experienced solo paddler however it also makes a fine tandem canoe for crews of around 22 stone max.
